P6/5 Look what we’ve been up to

This week we have been impressing Miss MacDonald and challenging ourselves in maths, learning about square numbers, cubed numbers and square roots.

We enjoyed learning all about penguins and how climate change is impacting on their lives in a live link with Glasgow Science Centre and Edinburgh Zoo. Some of us even got our questions answered live on screen.

This week was our last session of block 1 with Fais Ross Music. We have had a great time experiencing different instruments and learning some Gaelic songs.

We learned a new song this week called “Big Yellow Taxi” and we noticed some links to climate change. We had lots of discussion around contributors to the Climate Crisis and the impacts of it.

Today we read a book called “I am enough” and thought about how everyone is important and unique. We came to the realisation that even those who are professionals or experts once couldn’t do it but didn’t give up.

Have a fantastic weekend . If you are on Twitter you can follow what our class gets up to on our school page.
