We have had a great week back after the holidays.
Our new topic is winter festivals so we have linked lots of our learning to Halloween. We have been learning about the origins of Halloween and how it is celebrated differently around the World. We even had kids super keen to research more Countries!!
We started symmetry this week, using mirrors to find symmetrical items around the class.
Through exploring, we found out that some items can have more than one line of symmetry.
We created our own symmetrical Halloween themed pictures.
Take a look at our spooky ghost leaves!
As part of our learning in Health and Wellbeing, we have been looking at bullying.
We are learning to understand what bullying is, being able to recognise it and take action. This led to many conversations about ways we can spread kindness.
We created some fantastic Halloween themed sentences using alliteration and are all now feeling confident with using this technique in our writing.
Here we are testing each other’s fitness stations out. We enjoyed because we got to create the fitness activities ourselves.
We have had a great day today for dress down/ fancy dress day. Look at how generous we all are in P4, kindly donating to our local food banks
Pumpkin drive (Halloween version of a beetle drive) ?
