We have started thinking about the C word this week by starting to read The Christmasauraus by Tom Fletcher. Children are welcome to read along in their own copy if they wish. (If anyone’s interested, it’s £4 in The Works.) The children have chosen some Christmas songs they’d like to learn this year too.
After hearing the story of Rama and Sita the children designed their own Mehndi patterns which Hindu’s would wear at Diwali. Aren’t they amazing! Next week I will bring in some Henna paste to try some of the designs out in class.
We read Pudsey’s Great Fundraiser story this week and the children decided the message in the book was:
“Sometimes you get things wrong a few times before you get things right. “- Ava M
“If your ideas don’t work out, ask a friend what they think.” – Liam
