This week at Ach an Eas the children were lucky enough to participate in a creative session as part of a Postivie Dementia Care (PDC) programme run by the NHS. The aim of the group is to encourage staff to promote creative activites to support identity, wellbeing and communication.
They spent time colouring in pictures and drawing pictures of the residents which the group are planning to collate into a story book for the residents.
The group leader Karrie said the children were “fabulous” and the feedback from the session was extremely positive. We look forward to participating in more sessions of the PDC programme.
