The children thoroughly enjoyed using natural materials to create their own symmetrical pictures. Haven’t they done well!
Thank you for bringing in your favourite stories. We are really enjoying reading them.
We have finished reading The Lorax and had a go at identifying the main ideas of the text and why Dr Seuss might have written the book.
Today is Roald Dahl’s birthday so we began reading Mrs MacLelland’s favourite Roald Dahl book – James and the Giant Peach. Some of the children decided to play Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker at lunchtime!
Photographs have been sent home in schoolbags today. Unfortunately one of the printers was not working properly, so some of the pictures on the order forms have not printed very well, This will not affect the prints you order.
Please return all photograph orders to the school by Thursday 20th September, to ensure they are included in the school order and so avoiding having to pay late fees.
We have been learning about our online world, enjoying stories about Smartie the Penguin and The Smart Crew. We have been sharing stories about our online experiences too. Here is a video clip/chant we learnt, to help us when something happens online we are not sure about.
Our P6 pupils learned a lot about yoga, last year, with Mrs M.H. They asked if they could share their learning with the class as a tribute to Mrs. M.H. This was a lovely idea ! Over the last two weeks , Mia, Harry, Jayden and Lilly have been Hey teaching us how to use Yoga to be more aware of our bodies, breathing and mind.
We have had lots of fun trying out some of the more challenging moves and it is teaching us to be more mindful.
We enjoyed it that much that we now plan to incorporate weekly yoga sessions into our timetable.
A letter will be sent home tomorrow about a school trip. We are looking for parent helpers to accompany us on Wednesday 26th September.
