P4/5 Blog

Hope everyone had a super holiday!

We’re all rested and good to go for the new term.

I’m going to do a quick wee post to cover this week, but next week I’ll be giving you more of an overview of what we will be covering up till Christmas…….I know…..

We have been looking at time, and next week we will be looking more in depth at digital, 24 hour (for some) and duration of time.

We were also doing a bit of smelly pumpkin scraping, which stank out the class for a couple of days, but was good fun. The children designed pumpkin faces, but Hallowe’en was actually over by the time I found time to carve the faces in!

(Spot Lily NOT scraping out the smelly pumpkins!)

Another commemoration this year is the 100 year anniversary of World War 1. We are making a poppy display as a whole school for this occasion. We got an old newspaper from Armistice Day image, and we have glued on tissue paper. We will stiffen and waterproof the poppies with PVA glue. I’m hoping it will work!
