19.4.18 – Today we had a lot of fun preparing for our BBQ in the secret garden. We made our own pizzas, toasted marshmallows over the fire-pit and made popcorn. We had the best time eating it all.
27.2.18 – Today we collected the sticks from the willows that had been cut down and took them to the nursery garden so they could build a den. We also used the left over sticks to balance up against the trees to make our own den outside. The children also enjoyed getting messy with shaving foam and glue to make puff painting pictures while others dipped string into the paint to create lovely flower pictures.
12.2.18 – We had lots of fun relaxing in our new teepee with some books and also using recycled jars to make tealight lanterns and stationary holders.
The children showed great interest in making their own dens in oosc this week, Using scraps of material they also made pillows for our tepee and den. 🙂
This week the children have had lots of fun in after school club playing with our new games tables.
Last Friday starting the 12.1.18 following onto this week 15.1.18 we have had 4 groups of children at our firepit adventure, the children have really enjoyed learning what tools are needed to start a fire in our pit and also had lots of fun toasting marshmallows, sausages and making popcorn.
WELCOME MRS BREMNER
Congratulations to Mrs Bremner who has been appointed as our new Out of School Auxiliary. Welcome to the team.
This week the children have been very busy making lovely bath bombs for christmas presents using baking soda, citric acid, essential oils, cornflour, and some food colouring.
WELCOME MRS MACPHERSON
Congratulations and a warm welcome to Mrs MacPherson who has been appointed as our Out of School Assistant. She has already been working with Mrs V and Miss Macleod so i’m sure you will have already met her.
Mrs MacPherson is currently an EYP in our Nursery and will be continuing this role alongside our out of school club.
We had fun creating some beautiful dream catchers this week using paper plates, string, beads and feathers. We have some very talented children in our out of school club!
We had lots of fun on Thursday using the clay to make christmas decorations, tea cups, tea light holders and pots. 🙂
This week we enjoyed making witch hats for Halloween. We used ice cream cones for the hats, melted chocolate to drizzle on top then sprinkles and sweets to stick onto it. The best part was eating them 🙂

Thank you Miss Grant!!
We would like to say a goodbye to Miss Grant.
A big thank you for looking after us at the Out of School Club
Chocolate Chip Cupcakes
Today we did a baking activity and made cupcakes. We started by weighing all the ingredients. Then we added them all to a bowl and mixed them together with an electric whisk. We put them into the cupcake tin and then put them in the oven to cook.
Our foam science experiment
We had fun doing this foam experiment on Tuesday. We started by putting baking powder in cups and added water and vinegar. We picked two different colours of paints to make the foam a different colour. The vinegar and baking powder combined together to make foam come out of the cups. We picked pink and blue for the colours.

A very warm welcome back to our out of hours school club. It’s been great to see lots of new children as our numbers increase, getting to know you all and planning with the children the activities they would like to do.
Also a huge welcome to the newest member of our after school club team Miss Kelsey Wood who started with us on the first day of term.
