Developing the Young Workforce (DYW)
Junior Jobs Day – Thursday 21st June
Children and young people develop interests, strengths, skills and aspirations through experiences as part of the curriculum, and life beyond school. There are many ways in which you can help and support your child – by exploring careers, celebrating achievement, encouraging personal interests and making real life links.
Our DYW working group has arranged a “Junior Jobs Day” on Thursday 21st June to explore the skills, knowledge, values and attitudes required for a variety of professions available both within our community and further afield. For fun, we are encouraging the children to dress up as the job role they would aspire to (please don’t go to any expense). They will have the opportunity to take part in skills workshops led by various local and national companies including Santander, Scottish National Heritage, local officers from Police Scotland, Moray Firth Radio, A&I Quality Butchers and Engineers from the Stem Hub.
