Lochardil FC P4/5 Winners of the Cairn Cup tournament

Huge apologies from Mrs Rodgers for the delay in putting up this post.

Many thanks  to Anna Miller who sent the following match report and photographs.

“On Saturday 7th May a team of boys from P4 and P5 were crowned winners of the annual Cairn Cup football tournament! Playing a total of 8 matches, the team only conceded 1 goal in the whole tournament and went on to beat Milton of Leys in the final game! The annual competition is one of the largest of the year in Inverness, with over 500 children competing from P2/3s, P4/5s and P6/7s.

I think the school might need a bigger trophy cabinet to accommodate this trophy as it’s huge!

Well done to Gavin Thomson, Sean Kavanagh, Brodie Zineldin, Kyle Neill, Rorie Soden, James Young, Ellis Morrison, Michael Miller and Toryn Eaglesham who worked brilliantly as a team, with fantastic attitude and behaviour throughout.

A big congratulation to the P2/3 team who also retained the P2/3 Cairn Cup for another year.”

Our football success over the last few weeks has been fantastic! Thanks to everyone involved in the children’s success.
